AR for 3D Specs/ shades wearables

Project overview

An AR application for trying eyewears on your image or video. Model trained by deep learning was used to detect eye's location in the image or video. For false positives, heuristics were applied to filter them out. the application supports dynamic environments, allowing users to see the eyewear in motion when using video input.

Image or video was used as a texture on 3D cube from orthogonal perspective using OpenGL. Coordinates of eyes were transformed to represent their location in 3D environment.3D model of eyewear was put in front of face, according to the coordinates of eyes. The over 3D view was rendered to make it appear like user is wearing the eyewear. Transparency of the glass used in the eyewears were changed by user control to represent different shades of glass.
